My dog loves these balls, I have to get a new one every couple of years because the rubber dries out & starts to crack, making it a chewing hazard for her because she'll chew it up other wise. It doesn't make any noise, which I love! Easy to clean but as soon as I wash it she'll take it in the dirt & get it filthy again! She'll chase & fetch that ball no matter how many times I throw for her. It doesn't matter how hot it is outside she doesn't care but I don't throw it for her whenever ir's hot outside, she doesn't understand the risk that she could have heatstroke. But that's my job nit hers.
